Ar. Vasavi Mulay

Ar. Vasavi N. Mulay is an alumnus of the BKPS College of Architecture, Pune, Maharashtra, India. She worked for four years before setting up TULZA DESIGNS in 1993. Her ability to read between the lines from a client’s requirements is her USP. Vasavi’s flexible approach towards design and its metamorphosis from theory to practical execution makes her projects unique functional and aesthetical. She believes in working with the client instead of imposing her thoughts and ideas on a project.
‘Working as a space planner for several years has taught me the value of a single square inch. I’ve come to respect the significance of floor area available for design however small. Whether it is a farmhouse, bungalow, shop, restaurant, home or an office, I have always endeavoured to maximise its use. This has reaped rich dividends as it shaped an out-of-the-box thinking. This generated novel design ideas that helped realise the client’s dream of having ‘MORE’ in ‘LESS’
